This guide will show you how to download game backups directly to your PS Vita using PKGj by blastrock. PKGj uses the same database as NoPayStation so it is possible to download backup games for PS Vita, PSP, PSX and also downloadable content. Your downloads will run in the background using the LiveArea queue so you’ll be able to download your games and still carry out other activities concurrently. The NoNpDrm plugin will be required to play downloaded backups and the ref00d plugin will also be needed if you wish to play games that require a firmware update so these two plugins are highly recommended.

1. On your PS Vita, launch VitaShell and press the [Select] button to activate FTP or USB mode

3. Transfer pkgj.vpk to the ux0:/vpk/ folder on your PS Vita
4. When the transfer is complete, press [Circle] on your PS Vita to close FTP/USB mode
5. In VitaShell, go to ux0: -> /vpk/ then highlight pkgj.vpk
6. Press [Cross] to install it and confirm the extended permissions prompt
7. Close VitaShell when the installation is complete
8. Launch the PKGj bubble from your LiveArea and select the game you wish to download
9. Select [Install game] to begin the download, you can also choose whether to download game patches and updates alongside your game
10. Your game will be added to the LiveArea queue for background downloads
11. Your game will automatically begin to install when the download is complete

You can now download game backups directly to your PS Vita without a PC. You can press [Triangle] to open the PKGj menu to filter between backups for PSX, PSP, DLC, themes and more.
